Accommodation at New Zealand colleges

Most vocational institutions in New Zealand have some on-campus accommodation. These are usually in the form of self-contained apartments which house a number of students and have their own kitchens and bathrooms. However, the spaces in on-campus accommodation facilities do tend to be limited and therefore it is important that you express your interest and make your application for a place early.

Alternatively, many students opt to live off-campus in a private house or flat share. If you wish to go into private housing it is a good idea not to commit to a contract or rental agreement until you get to the city and you can go and see the property in person. For this reason it is recommended that you arrive a few weeks before the commencement of classes.
